The characters are well drawn and evolve naturally as the story unfolds, and the emotional range is impressive — I laughed, I cried, and more than once found myself on the edge of my seat.
It’s one of those books I never tire of rereading, and the entire THE FOREVER KING trilogy is something I recommend wholeheartedly.
