BIRTHDAY DROP OFFS

After this, you'd be calling me the Queen of Late Posts.  I humbly submit to that. But it's better late than never, yes?  Besides, I did promise I'll post this one, so, a promise is a promise.

Last September, during my birthday month, I promised to make a book drop every week. And I did.  These were the books I intended to drop off.  I attached a short missive to each one, so anyone who finds it doesn't toss it into the "Lost and Found" bin.

Gilead by Marilynne Robinson
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
The Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

I do hope those books found a good home, and whoever found them might turn out to be a book lover too.

Hey, you don't think this is the last of the drop-off, right?  If you are keeping tabs on the Filipino Friday meme, then you know that for October 21-27, we are encouraged to make book drop-offs, The Pinoy Book Drop, in the spirit of spreading the love for book reading. Followed by the All Hallow's Read (Give Someone a Scary Book this Halloween), prompted by this author's blog entry: A Modest Proposal.  So, until the next set of drop-offs, readers!

These are some of my favorites. I hope they will turn to be someone's favorites too. ♥

  3. Aw, History of Love! I'm excited to do the book drop too. Will "drop" books within the week, and I should perfect the art of subtlety haha. Crossing my fingers that the books will find new homes who will love them as much as I did. :)

  4. They were in plastic! Hmm. That sounds like a good idea. Next time I drop a book, I'll put them in plastic first. :)

    1. Hi, Monique!
I didn't bother removing the original plastic covers, but I have to attach my note and I don't want it to get wet or lost, hence the additional plastic wraps. I used those 500gms clear plastic bags I found at the groceries. Now that I thought about it, I should have used Cling Wrap instead, it's easier. :)
