BEST BOOKS OF 2013 ...so far

I haven’t drawn in almost 20 years, but using a simple ballpoint pen for this doodle didn’t turn out too bad, right? (You’d be doing me a huge favor by agreeing, thank you! ❤️)

January to June

I’d love to tell you I made this list just because it was raining and I needed to pass the time, buuuut that would be a complete lie. Truth is, I was inspired by my friends sharing their own "Best Half of 2013" roundups, so I promised myself I’d post mine too.

In no particular order, here are my top reads from the first half of the year:

Honorable Mention
Even though I technically finished it on July 1st, I feel strongly about including this one:
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

This was so much fun to put together! If you enjoyed this list, be sure to check out the midyear roundups from some of my favorite bloggers:

Book Rhapsody
One More
Rabbitin
The Book Hooligan

  1. Great books, Mommy L. I really hope to find a copy of The New York Trilogy soon. Whenever I think of it, I remember you. :)

  2. And I forgot to say that this is the most creative midyear report! I love the artistry of it. It makes me really jealous (I draw like a 5-year-old kid).

    1. Sweety, you do know that you only need to say the words and my copy is yours, right? ♥

Well since I am waaaay older than you, I draw like a 10-year old. (hehehehe) I did this while watching The Legend of Korra Season 1, which what probably invoked my childishness. :)

  5. Lovely doodles!(cutie mushroomy!) I think I may have Attachments on my TBR. The History of Love and Hope was Here sounds interesting too. I am a bit wary of Gilead. It isn't normally what I'd read but Lynai said it's pretty good. I am also afraid of The New York Trilogy because there are two words attached to it that makes me run for the hills: meta and post modern. Hihi. :D

    1. Thank you, Tin.
Most readers are wary of The New York Trilogy. Metamystery is such a big word, right? But if you can manage to sidestep around that term, I promise you the book is quite interesting. :)
