BEST BOOK of 2012

There were plenty of reasons to be thankful for, listing up the Best Reads for 2012 is just a start.  I've surprised myself by liking books outside of my preferred genres.

In no particular order:
  • The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafón;
  • Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore: A Novel by Robin Sloan;
  • Un Lun Dun by China Miéville;
  • First Among Sequels(Thursday Next, #5) by  Jasper Fforde;
  • The Fault in Our Stars by John Green;
  • Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell;
  • Where Shadows Dance: A Sebastian St. Cyr Mystery and When Maidens Mourn: A Sebastian St. Cyr Mystery by C.S. Harris
  • The Infinity Affair (Covert-One, #8) by Kyle Mills
  •  The Enchantress (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #6) by Michael Scott

  1. Oh, China Mieville! Yay! Have you read his other works? He's one of my favorite fantasy authors! I really, really like Perdido Street Station and The Scar, which I think make up 2 of the 3 Bas-Lag novels. I've yet to read the 3rd one, which is Iron Council. I highly, highly recommend his books!

    1. Hi Peter! That was my first China Miéville. I was not disappointed, so I made sure that I have all his works on kindle. Thank your for the recommendation, I'll read those next, promise.
